OUR STORY AND WE ARE STICKING TO IT.
Redneck Jedi took life in 2001, when founder Dennis Phillips and a few friends gathered to play southern rock cover tunes in Dennis' living room. The band formed under the banner of Day Tripper and was comprised of members from the staff of Dennis' newspaper in Johnson City. But from these early days a long term song writing collaboration was formed between Dennis Phillips and Chuck Stearns. Through many lineup changes, the music stayed the same and the passion continued to be driven by Dennis.

In 2003, with a new lineup the band was renamed to Redneck Jedi and original songs were added to the set lists. These early songs were No Place To Run, Third Chance and the Hill Country hit My Bud. After a year of gigging and practice the band entered the studio for the first time to record Defiance, a 6 song EP that reflected the band of the time. With three cover songs and three originals the band was poised to book. My Bud went on to be featured on the 2004 Spring compilation CD from Texas Music Magazine and received radio play all over the state of Texas through syndicated shows.

In 2006, and a binder full of original songs, Dennis renamed the band to Blind Carbon Copy and entered the studio again, this time for a full length project titled "Black & White" though the members from Blind Carbon Copy fell off, Dennis remained true to the project, but a Jedi at heart, renamed the band back to the original name in 2007.

Currently, Redneck Jedi has a new line-up and is working on Too Defiant, the third CD which is scheduled for the Fall of 2008. With booking and tour schedules filling up, Redneck Jedi is sure to remain on top, right where they belong.
