About David Beinke:
David's Redneck Jedi journey started with Dennis during the original efforts in Johnson City in 2001. It was a rough and tumble musical experience but there was never a dull moment and captured the spirit of perseverance, dedication, and camaraderie that embodies and defines the current Redneck Jedi.
David, growing up in Hawaii, was immersed in musical experience early, with drums in 1964, and trumpet in 1968. He gigged all over the island thru high school. In 1971 he landed in Texas to study jazz at University of North Texas. Entering the Marine Corps suspended the musical experience for several years but it returned with a vengeance in 1980 with a move to the Austin area. Relocating to the Hill Country 1985, David has been playing steadily ever since.
Influences ranging from Gene Krupa, to Pat Metheny but the guiding light is the quote from Satchmo; "What we play is life."
